Farah Kadhimi, the visionary founder and creative director of FJK by Farah Kadhimi, has built a brand that embodies her deep-rooted passion for beauty, art, and precision. Born in the vibrant city of Baghdad as one of five sisters, Farah’s early exposure to the diverse tastes and styles within her family sparked her understanding of how fashion can express both strength and individuality. Each sister had her own unique approach to fashion, which helped Farah cultivate her own distinctive style while fostering an appreciation for differences in taste.

Her journey, shaped by her global travels and exposure to various cultures, environments, and languages, broadened her creative vision. This international experience is reflected in her designs, which blend her multicultural heritage with global influences. Farah’s formal training began at the prestigious STF Schweizerische Textilfachschule in Zurich, where she honed her skills in perfect finishing techniques.She later refined her expertise at Central Saint Martins (CSM)  and the University of the Arts London (UAL), gaining the premium skills essential for becoming a distinguished fashion designer.

 

In 2023, Farah was shortlisted for Entrepreneur of the Year, a recognition of her dedication and talent. The following year, she achieved a major milestone by debuting her collection at the opening of London Fashion Week. Beyond her work in fashion, Farah is committed to empowering women, having served as part of the Smart Works Birmingham styling team, where she helped vulnerable women feel confident and professional for their job interviews. Through her brand, Farah not only creates fashion but also uplifts and inspires women to embrace their own strength and beauty.
